RECOMMENDED ARTISTS - AUGUST 2025

In the world of online independent music, there's a practically infinite amount of artists to listen to, and it can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming. That's where I come in! I listen to a bit of indie music, so I'd like to recommend my favorite artists.
OK Glass is an artist that defies genre. Though if I had to categorize him, it'd probably be indie-pop with electronic influences. His music features a massive variety of instruments you'd never expect to hear in pop music. Did you know he has a banjo-punk song??? If that's not unique, I don't know what is!
If you want to listen to OK Glass, I highly recommend his 2021 album Sand (And Other Mysteries). If you like how that sounds, listen to either his 2018 album Can't Turn It Off or his 2025 album Same. You won't be dissapointed.

Vacaroni is a sort of instrumental artist. I'd say he's electronic-instrumental, but his music is much more than just that. It's got electronic elements, yes, but also some real sounding instruments. And ya wanna know the best part? It's done almost entirely on mobile. Yes, he uses his phone to make music. Isn't that awesome???
His album TAOMOS just released on Bandcamp last month, go check it out!
Another one of my friends. The Stuff Doer makes jazz-lofi-folk, if that's even a genre. If you like Will Wood you'd probably atleast mildly enjoy TSD's music.
His new single Whirlygig released not too long ago on streaming, it's really good!
